Terms of Use Agreement

Jays Private Transfers and Shuttle Van Operated by Jeffery "Jay" Singleton and affiliated Independent Contractor Drivers for Mears Transportation

 

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By booking or using any transportation services offered by Jays Private Shuttle Van, operated by Jeffery "Jay" Singleton and affiliated independent contractor drivers (collectively referred to as “the Independent Contractor,” “we,” or “us”), for Mears Transportation (“the Company”), you (“the Customer”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by this Terms of Service Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services.

 

2. LEGAL RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

Jeffery "Jay" Singleton and affiliated drivers operate as independent contractors under the authority of Mears Transportation (“the Company”). Services provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Private shuttle van transportation

  • Airport transfers

  • Hotel pickups

  • Cruise port transfers

  • Group and event transportation

  • Other transportation services as agreed upon at the time of booking

All transportation services are provided within the Central Florida region, including Orlando and surrounding areas.

3. BOOKINGS AND CONFIRMATIONS

  • Reservations: All bookings must be made in advance via our website, by phone, or through email.

  • Confirmation: A booking confirmation will be sent via email or text once your reservation is complete. It is the Customer’s responsibility to review and verify all trip details and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.

  • Availability: Services are subject to vehicle and driver availability at the time of booking.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and other approved payment methods through our online booking system.

  • Payment Timing: Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Receipts: Available upon request following successful payment processing.

 

5. SERVICE USAGE GUIDELINES

  • Timeliness: Customers must be ready at the designated pickup location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Drivers will wait up to 15 minutes past the scheduled time before marking the ride as a “No-Show.”

  • Passenger Conduct: Customers must treat the driver and vehicle with respect. The Company reserves the right to refuse service to any customer engaging in disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior.

  • Luggage Policy: Each customer is allowed up to two pieces of standard luggage and one personal item. Excess or oversized luggage must be declared at the time of booking and may incur additional fees.

  • Children & Car Seats: Complimentary car seats and boosters are available upon request at the time of booking.

6. LIABILITY

  • Damages: Customers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle due to negligence or misconduct.

  • Lost or Stolen Items: The Company is not responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.

  • Delays and Interruptions: The Company is not liable for delays or service interruptions due to factors beyond its control, including traffic, weather, road closures, or mechanical failures.

  • Accidents and Insurance Claims: In the event of a vehicular accident, injury, or incident during transport, the Customer understands and agrees that any claims for damages, injury, or loss must be filed through the commercial insurance held by Mears Transportation (“the Company”). Neither Jeffery "Jay" Singleton nor any affiliated Independent Contractor shall be personally liable beyond the scope of coverage provided by the Company’s insurance policy.

7. PRIVACY POLICY

We respect your privacy. All personal information collected is kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of booking and delivering transportation services. We do not sell, rent, or share customer information with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to fulfill the service.

8. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service, Cancellation Policy, and transportation rates at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review these Terms periodically.

 

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. CUSTOMER CANCELLATION

  • Notice Requirement: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time.

  • Refunds: Full refunds will be provided for cancellations made with the required notice. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

 

2. COMPANY CANCELLATION

The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Vehicle breakdowns

  • Driver illness

  • Severe weather or road closures

  • Emergencies

In such cases, Customers will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative transportation arrangement.

 

3. MODIFICATION REQUESTS

  • Changes to reservations must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

  • All changes are subject to availability and may be declined if suitable resources are not available.

  • If a modification results in additional charges, those charges must be paid before service is rendered.

 

4. NO-SHOW POLICY

  • A “No-Show” is defined as a Customer failing to appear at the pickup location within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

  • No refunds will be issued for No-Shows. The full trip charge applies.
